ARCH 557 - Fall 2023
ARCH 557 is an advanced technology graduate course designed for architecture students to provide an effective strategy for integrating structural principles and their application in architectural design.
The course incorporates a comprehensive four-module active-learning approach:
1. manual calculations; 2. computational structural analysis; 3. physical models fabrication and load testing; and 4. architectural design integration. Emphasis IS placed on developing strong skills in modeling complex structure systems and applying cutting-edge structural analysis tools, as well as reinforcing and acquiring a deep understanding of form-finding simulation and material performance through both in-class and lab activities.
Below are the spreads of my final portfolio for the course.
